Job Description:

A. Position Description
1.     A self-starting Senior SQL Server Data Warehouse developer with full development responsibility for a multi-billion dollar Global real estate management firm’s Data Warehouse
B. Principal Accountabilities
1.     Create, administer, and maintain the SQL Server objects required to support the Data Warehouse
2.     Assist ETL team in developing source to target mapping.
3.     Assist Cognos Lead in mapping report requirements to data model.
4.     Source System of Record data analysis and source to target design.
5.     Assist in Data Quality research and UAT.
6.     Work with Informatica ETL developers for ETL & DBA for Physical DDL creation &
7.     Work with Cognos Report Developers in Report development, Report Metadata, etc.
8.     Troubleshoot and optimize the performance of Cognos reports, Informatica ETL packages
9.     Troubleshoot and optimize the performance of SQL Server objects including SSIS, stored procedures, triggers, views, etc.
C. Required Skills
1.     Extensive experience with SQL Server and ETL, including Integration Services.
2.     Excellent knowledge of databases, data warehouse/modeling concepts and understanding of business intelligence.
3.     Extensive experience with Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, and Functions.
4.     Query performance analysis and tuning.
5.     Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
6.     Excellent analytical skills, documentation, and ability to work in teams and/or independently.
7.     Fast learner.
8.     ETL development using a variety of tools to meet all technical specifications and business requirements according to the established designs
D. Required Experience
1.     5+ years SQL Server development including triggers, stored procedures, SSIS, views
2.     Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or higher database technologies and structures
E.   Desired Experience
1.     Informatica ETL
2.     Cognos report development
3.     SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Microsoft BI
4.     Mixed on-shore and off-shore development
